The divorce between Kordell Stewart and Porsha Williams has turned into a back and forth of court filings. About two weeks after Kordell filed for divorce, Porsha reportedly asked the court to weigh in on her claim that Kordell had been locking her out of their home and bringing another woman inside. Now Kordell has answered, and his version of events is very different.
According to TMZ, which reviewed the court documents, Kordell says he only locks the house at night for security reasons. He claims the real issue is that Porsha often leaves for several days at a time and sometimes returns between 2 and 4 in the morning smelling like alcohol. He also claims Porsha called the police twice to get inside even though she has a key.
As for the “other woman” Porsha mentioned, Kordell says she is a nanny he had to hire because he claims Porsha has been neglecting her responsibilities to her stepson. He also asked the judge to deny Porsha’s request for temporary support, arguing that she is a television personality who earns her own money.
These are allegations from legal filings, and nothing has been decided by the court. Porsha had not publicly responded to Kordell’s claims at the time of this report. We will keep you posted as the Stewarts’ divorce plays out.
