Kordell Stewart sat down with Steve Harvey on October 19, 2016 for his first TV interview about his new book, “Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story.”
The former NFL quarterback also used the appearance to address a rumor that has followed him since his days with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a claim that he was arrested in a Pittsburgh park in the 1990s. Kordell denied it and said there is no record of any such arrest. “If it happened, it would be documented,” he told Steve. He did not say much more about it and talked instead about the family life he has built.
Kordell also spoke about his ex wife, Porsha Williams. According to coverage of the interview, he said he loved her but that the marriage is over, and he denied running her off.
The interview was part of his press run for the book. Kordell has said the memoir is his chance to tell his own story.
