Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is in critical condition following hospitalization in Los Angeles due to a severe cardiovascular issue after coughing up a significant amount of blood on Friday.
A CAT scan revealed that Krayzie Bone, 50, had a leaking artery in one of his lungs. Despite immediate surgery, the bleeding didn’t cease, leading to his sedation and placement on a breathing machine.
According to reports, the rapper suffers from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that causes clusters of inflamed tissue called “granulomas” in various organs due to an overreactive immune system.
Sarcoidosis primarily affects the lungs and lymph nodes, and it can become life-threatening if it advances to severe lung or heart disease, as per the American Lung Association.
The news comes shortly after it was announced that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was honored with their own street in their hometown of Cleveland last month.
