Kyle Norman of the R&B group Jagged Edge was arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated assault after a domestic incident involving his fiancee, according to CBS 46.
CBS 46 reported that police were called to a home about a fight between an engaged couple. The fiancee told officers the two had been arguing about drinking. Police reportedly noted visible injuries to her face and eye. She told officers Norman punched and choked her with a scarf and forced her engagement ring into her throat, and that he later took her car keys and broke her phone. She said she was able to get his phone, run outside and call for help, and a neighbor let her inside.
An officer reportedly saw Norman on a nearby sidewalk, and he was heard saying he needed to go to jail. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault. These are allegations from the police report, and an arrest is not a finding of guilt. A response from Norman had not been reported at the time of publishing.
