Former Disney star Kyle Massey has been charged with a felony in connection to sending pornographic material to a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat.
The actor, who best known for his roles on That’s So Raven and Cory in the House, is now facing one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes, according to TMZ. Massey allegedly sent sexually explicit material to the girl in December of 2018 and January of 2019.
The girl’s family initially filed a $1.5 million civil suit against the actor back in 2019 for electronically sending “numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos” through Snapchat. At the time, Massey said he was being extorted.
The civil suit against Massey stalled when the girl’s parents learned he did not have enough money to make it worth pursuing. At that point, they went to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report. The girl’s mother handed over a thumb drive with the pornographic material, including a video of what appears to Massey exposing his penis.
The teen’s mother told investigators that Massey had known the girl since she was just 4-years-old. An investigation was opened in early 2020.
Massey was supposed to appear for his arraignment in Washington on Monday, but he was a no-show. TMZ reached out to his team for comment but did not hear back.
