Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving says he is ready to step up as a father, but he is asking for a paternity test first.
According to court documents, Irving believes he is the father of the child that former Miss Texas United States Andrea Wilson is expecting, and he asked a judge to help establish paternity. The filing says Irving has known Wilson since 2013 and that the two are no longer together. Wilson is reportedly due toward the end of the year.
The documents also say Irving wants to help support the child financially, including medical costs, as long as Wilson continues to raise the child in Texas. Baller Alert did not see a public response from Wilson at the time of this report.
