Lance Bass To Develop New Comedy About Groupies Who Followed *NSYNC on Final Tour

Upon the resurgence of everyone’s favorite boybands from the late 90s and early 2000s, Lance Bass of *NSYNC is looking to develop a new movie about two of the group’s biggest fans.

“It’s a really fun story about these girls that win a Winnebago on “The Price is Right” and follow us on tour – which randomly happened,” Bass told Variety of the forthcoming ‘based on a true story’ project.

According to the publication, the wild adventure occurred sometime in 2001 after the women auditioned for the game show to try to win an RV to follow Bass, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and JC Chasez on their final tour.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Lo and behold, the women won and followed the men on tour. In fact, the women’s journey was covered by Carson Daly, who hosted a special about the final tour, in which Bass surprised them with a tax payment on the Winnebago.

According to Variety, the scripted project, which is expected to be a road trip comedy, will be adapted through Bass’ namesake production company, with a potential adaptation for Broadway stage show after the film’s release.
