Actress Lark Voorhies is officially single again. According to court documents, her divorce from Jimmy, her third husband, became final in May, with the two being “restored to the status of single persons” as of May 6.
The Saved by the Bell star and Jimmy married in Las Vegas in April 2015 after reportedly meeting online. About six months later, in October 2015, Lark filed for divorce, according to ET Online, which reported on the court filing at the time. TMZ reported that she asked the court to deny him spousal support.
The marriage drew attention almost from the start. ET Online reported that Lark’s mother, Patricia, sought a restraining order against Jimmy in June 2015 and said she feared for her daughter. Patricia also claimed her daughter was in a fragile state and that Jimmy was taking advantage of her. Jimmy denied that, telling ET in July 2015 that the marriage was not a scam or a way to get money. Lark herself told ET around the same time that the two were together for all the right reasons.
You may remember that Lark also posted a lengthy Instagram message last November about the split. Jimmy has not been quoted publicly in the coverage we reviewed about the final divorce.
Now that the paperwork is done, it looks like both Lark and her family can finally close this chapter.
