New details have emerged about the search warrant executed in relation to the murder of Tupac Shakur.

The Las Vegas home that was raided on Monday belongs to a woman named Paula Clemons. Though she has not been linked to the cold case, her husband has long been connected to the killing, though he never faced charges. Duane “Keefe D” Davis is supposedly the uncle of Orlando Anderson, a former gang member who has long been rumored to have pulled the trigger. Police also named him as a suspect early in the investigation. Davis previously shared that he was in the car on the night of September 7th, 1996, in Vegas when the “Changes” rapper was killed. According to him, Anderson was in the back seat with another suspected gang member while a fourth man was behind the wheel. Though he confirmed in a 2018 interview that the shots came from the backseat, he would not reveal who fired them. Now, detectives are looking further into his story. According to Davis, Pac was killed as retaliation for beating up another Southside Crip earlier that day.

If there is evidence to support the men’s involvement, it’s unclear how or if justice can be delivered at this point in the case. Anderson was murdered in a shootout two years after Tupac’s death. It’s unclear if Davis or the other men present that night could face any accessory charges.

As of now, details regarding what evidence may have been found during the search have not been released.
