Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem is being sued by a woman who says she was seriously injured in a 2013 car accident involving his wife.
According to TheJasmineBrand, the plaintiff, Ana, says Haslem’s wife, Faith, was driving Haslem’s Mercedes Benz R350 on May 18, 2013, when the car collided with hers. Ana alleges Faith was driving negligently. She claims she suffered bodily injury, including pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish, hospitalization, medical care and loss of future income, and is reportedly seeking $15,000.
Haslem is fighting the claims in court. In his response, he says the accident was caused by unforeseeable acts and not by his wife. He also says the plaintiff was not wearing a seat belt and that she has not provided proof of her bills or injuries.
Haslem recently filed documents asking a judge to require the plaintiff to turn over her medical bills, tax returns, records of hospital visits and treatment, and any photos related to the accident.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
