LeBron James is showing no signs of slowing down.

On February 6th, the 40-year-old GOAT dropped 42 points, 17 rebounds, and had 8 assists in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-112 win over the Golden State Warriors.

His performance has made him the oldest player in NBA history to score 40+ points since Michael Jordan did it at 40 in 2003.

James, ever humble, joked about his age after the win: “What do I think? That I’m old. I need a glass of wine and some sleep; that’s the first thing I think about.”

LeBron’s performance adds another chapter to his NBA legacy. At 40, he now holds the record as the youngest (at 19 years old) and oldest player to score 40+ points.

With only 40 more points needed to crack the top 10 all-time scorers for the Lakers, LeBron continues to defy expectations.
