Lenny Kravitz Opens Up About 9 Years of Celibacy

Lenny Kravitz, known for his sex appeal, is in the spotlight for a different reason.

In an interview with The Guardian, he revealed his celibacy for the past nine years, a surprising admission considering he’s been known as a sex symbol for quite some time.

Kravitz, once a playboy, decided to avoid casual relationships after realizing the impact of his father’s infidelity. His father, Sy Kravitz, a NBC news producer, cheated on his mom, Roxie Roker, a well-known actress from “The Jeffersons” when he was younger.

Kravitz acknowledged his inherited behavior by reflecting on his upbringing and his father’s mistakes.

After his divorce from Lisa Bonet in 1991, Kravitz found himself following in his father’s footsteps. Unhappy with this lifestyle, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery, determined to break free from his past.

“It’s a spiritual thing. I’ve become very set in my ways, in the way I live,” he said.

This transformation led him to embrace celibacy as a way to practice discipline and spiritual growth.

Despite his romantic history with Vanessa Paradis, Adriana Lima, and Nicole Kidman, Kravitz remains focused on finding meaningful connections at 60.

During a “CBS Mornings” interview with Gayle King, Kravitz emphasized his dedication to his journey, unwilling to rush into anything before finding the right partner.
