LeSean McCoy Says Spoiling ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Was The Worst Decision of His Life: “I Didn’t Know That People Really Got Into Them Cartoons Like That”

LeSean McCoy

LeSean McCoy of the Kansas City Chiefs is taking a trip down memory lane with regret over a very ludicrous idea he made over a year ago.

In an interview on ‘Good Morning Football,’ McCoy expressed his regret for tweeting the ending of the popular Marvel film Avengers Endgame last year.

“RIP my dog TONEY STARK,” McCoy preposterously wrote on Twitter on April 26, 2019, which was opening night in the United States for ‘Avengers: End Game.  “The worst day ever …. me and lil shady are hurt …. they killed iron man …take Captain America instead.”

That didn’t sit well with fans, as they immediately began to attack him in response to his tweet.⠀

But, according to McCoy, he didn’t know how much superhero fans cared about “them cartoons.”

“I didn’t know the reaction of the people, I didn’t know that. If I knew that, I would have never tweeted that,” he stated. “I didn’t know that people really got into them cartoons like that. I apologize. It was terrible.”

His realization (aside from the backlash) came when he met #PaulRudd, who plays Ant-Man in the Marvel Franchise, and his son at the Super Bowl.

McCoy stated it was “the worst decision of my life,” and revealed women even questioned him about it at the store.

“But you know the worst part about this,” McCoy added. “I would go to the grocery store, and I’d see like older women, and they’d be like ‘Hey! Why did you tell us about Tony Stark dying?!”⠀⠀⠀

Though McCoy received a lot of heat and flack for his tweets, they’re still up on his page. I guess he figured the damage had already been done.

Remember when LeSean McCoy tweeted about Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame before anybody saw it?
