Lil Baby is taking the high road after streamer Kai Cenat gave his latest album, Wham, a less-than-stellar 6/10 rating during a recent stream.

While some artists might have clapped back, Lil Baby showed maturity when asked about it in an interview with Complex.
“I saw little clips of it,” Baby shared. “People like Kai Cenat, I feel like they’re younger. The streamers and people who do reviews, that’s just their opinion. They know nothing about music for real.”
Lil Baby pointed out that opinions like Kai’s might come from a lack of life experience, saying listeners like him may not fully grasp the depth of his lyrics.
“They won’t really understand how I’m coming,” he explained. “You have to be a little older to really get it.”
Baby also added that he doesn’t spend time checking out album reviews. “I never go and watch somebody else’s review of an album. I’m going to listen to the album and form my own opinion.”
Rather than letting the critique get to him, Lil Baby is keeping his focus on his music and his fans who do connect with his message. His response shows a level of calm confidence, proving he’s not sweating over anyone’s opinion—even from one of the biggest streamers in the game.
At the end of the day, Lil Baby knows his audience, and Wham is for those who can truly relate.
