Walnita Decuir, the wife of rapper Lil Boosie, has released a novel titled When The Music Stops, according to Hollywood Street King. The book is described as loosely based on her own life.
Per the site, the main character is a woman named Sherell Devore who is involved with a rapper named Baisean “Bae” Torrei. Hollywood Street King points out that the rapper’s name is similar to Boosie’s legal name, Torrence Hatch. The story reportedly covers life with the biggest entertainer in her city of Baton Rouge, the jealousy and criticism that came with it, and a painful split.
The site says the plot mirrors rumors that have followed Boosie since he was released from jail earlier this year. Those rumors have not been confirmed, and at the time of this post we found no response from Boosie or from anyone connected to the rumors.
The characters have made up names, and the author has not said publicly that the book is a direct account of real events. Any link between the novel and real people is speculation until someone speaks on the record.
