Lil Uzi Vert reportedly experienced a health scare in New York City.
While not many details are known, TMZ reports that the “Eternal Atake” rapper was transported to a New York City hospital Monday after paramedics responded to a call about a “sick person” at a Lower Manhattan hotel. Sources told the outlet that Uzi was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher around 2:30 p.m. and was conscious.
Footage obtained by TMZ shows the moment leading up to him being taken to the hospital. Security is seen blocking bystanders’ view with black umbrellas as Uzi was being assisted. His longtime girlfriend, rapper JT, was reportedly by his side.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it was reported by several outlets that Uzi was still in the hospital, though his condition is unknown. The 29-year-old has no known health issues, though he has been vocal about past substance abuse. He was previously seen in the studio doing whippets, which is nitrous oxide. Additionally, he has documented his pill usage in his music throughout his career. However, in recent years, girlfriend JT has shared that Uzi was kicking his addictions.
