Love is making its way through the Hot Boys circle, and Lil Wayne just added another surprise to the celebration.

While congratulating his longtime friend and fellow Hot Boys member B.G. on his engagement to Brooke Jones, Wayne casually delivered a relationship update of his own. Wayne appeared alongside Madi Cannon during a video call with B.G. and referred to Cannon as his fiancée.“Congratulations, and I’m marrying this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancée,” Wayne said in the clip.
The moment immediately turned what started as a congratulations for B.G. into a double engagement conversation. Wayne also made it clear that he plans to be part of B.G.’s wedding, volunteering to serve as best man and asking what color he needed to wear.
B.G. appeared happy to receive the love from his longtime collaborator. He shared the exchange on Instagram and wrote, “My lil Brodie gave me his blessings @liltunechi.”
The congratulations come after B.G. created a major moment of his own earlier this month. The New Orleans rapper proposed to Brooke Jones onstage during the September 12 hometown stop of the Cash Money and No Limit Tour at the Smoothie King Center.
“I ain’t wanna do this thing called life without you,” B.G. told Jones before getting down on one knee, according to Complex. “What’s up, you wanna be my wife?”
Jones accepted the proposal as the New Orleans crowd celebrated with them. B.G. even brought some humor into the emotional moment when he asked Mannie Fresh which hand the engagement ring belonged on.
“I ain’t never did this before. What hand it go on?” B.G. said. “Ay Fresh, you done did this before? The left one?”
For longtime Cash Money fans, Wayne publicly celebrating B.G.’s next chapter carries extra history. The two came up together in New Orleans before becoming members of the Hot Boys alongside Juvenile and Turk. The group became one of the defining acts of Cash Money Records and helped establish the label’s presence beyond Louisiana.
But Wayne calling Madi Cannon his fiancée is what gave the new video an unexpected twist.
Back in May, TMZ reported that Wayne had quietly become engaged to a woman in her 20s from Indiana. Cannon was later publicly identified in reports as the woman Wayne had been dating.
Wayne, however, pushed back on the engagement reports himself in July. Wayne addressed his personal life in an Instagram video and explicitly denied being engaged while revealing that he and his partner had separated.
“I know I don’t give y’all a lot of content, especially a lot of personal content, but I would like to clear something up,” Wayne said. “No, I’m not engaged. No, no. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person…I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person.”
“So, we decided to part,” he continued. “But no, not engaged.”
That made his September 29 introduction of Cannon as his fiancée particularly notable. While Wayne has now publicly stated that he intends to marry Cannon, neither he nor Cannon has publicly explained when they reconciled or when the engagement became official.
That distinction matters because Wayne’s July comments indicated that the earlier engagement reports were inaccurate, rather than confirming an engagement that later ended. His latest declaration is the clearest public confirmation yet that Cannon is now his fiancée.
The relationship update arrives during a period when Wayne and B.G.’s longtime musical connection has also returned to the spotlight. The Hot Boys reunited with Juvenile and Turk for Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans in November 2024, following years of anticipation surrounding a complete reunion.
Now, nearly three decades after Wayne and B.G. began building their names through Cash Money, their friendship is showing up in a completely different chapter of their lives.
