Lizzo’s Yitty brand is becoming more inclusive after announcing its new gender-neutral shapewear line.
On Thursday, the musician revealed that her fashion brand would soon introduce a collection of shapewear named “Your Skin,” designed to affirm various gender identities and featuring binders and tucking thongs.
“Introducing.. YOUR SKIN by @Yitty,” Lizzo posted to her social media accounts. “You deserve to feel like you. You deserve to feel good in Your Skin. We’ve been working on this a long time & it’s finally ready! Binder tops & tucking thongs coming this summer !”
In her post, Lizzo also shared sneak-peek pictures of the upcoming merchandise that showcased models flaunting tight-fitting tops and bottoms created from black and purple fabric.
The shapewear launch doesn’t come as a surprise seeing as though, Lizzo has been very vocal about her support of the LGBTQ community. The singer previously expressed disapproval for the bills Gov. Bill Lee signed that targeted trans and non-binary youths.
“We believe in radical self-love for people of all gender identities, including the trans, non-binary, gender-fluid and gender non-conforming communities that have been chronically underserved,” the announcement concluded. “So, we decided to take our expertise and create styles that serve those very same communities. It is our mission to continue serving all bodies, which is why these core styles will always be available at YITTY, starting late summer 2023. And this is just the beginning. We hope you can feel the love in every stitch.”
