In a recent episode of the Rory & Mal podcast, Clay Gravesande from “Love is Blind” addressed the recent drama involving Celina Powell. Clay took the opportunity to clarify his side of the story after earlier this week, the OnlyFans model released TikToks of the two seemingly boo’d up, sparking dating rumors. She also posted a mirror selfie of the two, which left many of the Netflix series’ fans scratching their heads.
On Friday, on Rory & Mal, Clay explained that Celina reached out to him after “Love is Blind” ended. They had several “cool” exchanges via DM, and he didn’t know much about her outside of her situation involving Lil Meech. Admitting that he likes promiscuous women, he clarified that he only met Celina once, which was last Friday. He said Celina convinced him to do a TikTok with her, and he was unaware that she intended to post the videos in a way that suggested they were romantically involved. He also claimed he did not sleep with her.
“People think that I’m dating her. I’m not. People think that I piped. I didn’t… I fucked up essentially with being on scene with her. I think people are mad that I’m close to her, but in terms of what I actually did, I did a couple of TikToks,” he said.
Clay said the TikTok was initially supposed to be content for a podcast rollout. He later expressed regret over making the TikToks, acknowledging how they could be perceived negatively.
“I ain’t pipe Celina. I ain’t with Celina. So my whole thing is like, what did I do wrong? I just did some TikToks,” he said. “But I get the optics,” he continued.
Elsewhere in the episode, Clay admitted that he’s since unfollowed and no longer speaks to Celina since the controversy.
“I don’t like disrespect,” he said.
Earlier this week, Clay’s name was thrust into the headlines after Celina Powell shared suggestive TikToks and photos of the two together. “Love is Blind” fans quickly called him out for leaving Amber “AD” Smith at the altar and then seemingly popping up with Celina Powell, who has been infamously linked to several men in the entertainment industry.
The situation took another turn when Clay’s mom publicly criticized him for his association with Celina. Clay mentioned that he understands his mother’s concerns and feelings of disappointment. He is taking this as a learning experience and is committed to making better choices moving forward.
