Lyft is going to help you get yourself to the polls on Election Day with 50 percent off your rideshare, bikeshare and scooter rides.

The time to vote is right around the corner, and companies like Lyft want to make getting to the polls a little less expensive, so the company is giving its consumers 50 percent off all Lyft transportation heading to a polling location.

“We believe that everyone’s voice – and vote – deserves to be heard, and transportation should never be a barrier. That’s why this Election Day, Lyft is helping more people roll to the polls with access to discounted rideshare, bikeshare, and scooter rides,” said the company in a blog post.

All riders will have to input the code “VOTE22” before Election Day to get the 50 percent discount. “Codes will be available to be used during voting hours in every time zone, for a discount of up to $10. Riders can preload or activate the code directly in the Lyft app or in the apps of our participating local bikeshare systems,” reads the blog post.

The discount comes as part of the company’s mission to tackle transportation issues, noting how 15 million people were unable to vote in 2016 due to transportation problems, among other transportation barriers.
