Magnolia Bakery, known for its popular desserts and appearances on Sex and the City, is bringing its banana pudding to United Airlines passengers.
The dessert, called Banana Pudding Wafer Cookie Bits, offers a twist on Magnolia’s classic banana pudding. The 3 oz. frozen-to-thaw cup features whipped bananas and chunks of wafer cookies, making it convenient for in-flight service while maintaining the familiar flavors of the original.
The pudding is currently available only to first-class passengers on United Airlines flights over 901 miles. For those not traveling, the cups are also sold at select grocery stores and retailers across the country.
This move follows a trend among airlines to partner with well-known food brands. Delta Airlines recently began offering Shake Shack cheeseburgers on certain flights, and JetBlue provides premium cabin passengers with menus created by top chefs.
With the addition of Magnolia Bakery’s pudding, United Airlines is giving passengers a small taste of New York while they travel.
