Male Prisoner Wants to Call Jennifer Lopez as a Witness in His Assault Lawsuit Against Diddy

Jennifer Lopez is being dragged into a legal battle involving her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, as a male prisoner suing Diddy over a 1997 sexual assault claims he plans to call Lopez as a witness.

According to InTouch Weekly, Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, who is incarcerated in Michigan, alleges that Diddy assaulted him at a Detroit Holiday Inn. Cardello-Smith, who met Diddy while working as a bartender, says the mogul invited him to a sex party where he was given a drink laced with a substance. He claims he woke up to Diddy having sex with another woman and was told, “I did this to you too!”

Cardello-Smith is seeking $400 million in damages, alleging that Diddy conspired with government officials to cover up the assault. He believes Lopez, who dated Diddy from 1999 to 2001, may have information relevant to his case. However, Diddy’s legal team has dismissed the claims as “baseless,” pointing out contradictions in Derrick’s filings, including conflicting assault locations. They argue the statute of limitations expired in 2000 and question why Derrick waited so long to come forward, mocking his claims of fear of retaliation from Diddy.

Additionally, the Bad Boy founder is facing two more lawsuits, including one from a woman who claims she was assaulted at a 1991 charity event and another from LaTroya Grayson, who alleges she was drugged and assaulted in 2006 after attending a party hosted by Diddy. In typical fashion, he has denied all allegations, calling them fictitious and maintaining faith in the judicial process.
