A night out in the UK turned into a viral social media moment after a man messaged a club asking it to take down a photo of him.
The Daily Dot reported that the man wrote to the club at 5 p.m. the next day. He said the night had gotten a bit messy, that the club had posted a photo of him with his ex, and that his current girlfriend would be furious if she saw it. He asked the club to delete it as soon as possible.
The club’s reply is what made the exchange take off online. It joked, “Drop off 10 grand cash and a pack of Haribo Tangfastics at the club before 6pm, otherwise I’m making it the profile pic for the clubs page.”
After letting him sweat for a moment, the club confirmed it was kidding and said the photo was already gone.
The man was not named in the report, and it is not known whether his girlfriend ever saw the photo.
