Ray Allen is back in the headlines after a man involved in a legal dispute with the NBA great claimed the two had a romantic relationship. Allen’s attorney strongly denies it.
Earlier this month, Allen reportedly filed an emergency motion in response to stalking claims from a man named Bryant. In that motion, Allen said Bryant was the one targeting him and his family, allegedly by posing online as several different women. Allen also said the two had reached an agreement that Bryant would keep their communications private, and that Bryant later went back on it. Bryant had reportedly asked a court for a temporary restraining order against Allen.
According to TMZ, Bryant is now disputing Allen’s version of events. He claims Allen communicated with him and shared information, pictures and videos while knowing exactly who he was. Bryant was responding to Allen’s claim that the two had never met in person, and he told TMZ that Allen’s account of their relationship is false. He added that confidentiality considerations kept him from sharing more detail and that he would rely on the courts. None of his claims have been proven.
Allen’s side tells a very different story. His attorney told TMZ the two have never met and have never spoken, and that there has never been a relationship or friendship between them. The attorney also said Allen has not threatened anyone and called Bryant’s claims “a complete fabrication.”
The dispute is ongoing, and both sides are standing by their accounts.
