A man accused of emptying two of R. Kelly’s Atlanta area homes has turned himself in, according to TMZ.
Per TMZ, officials say Alfonso turned himself in on Monday. He is accused of hiring people to clean out both homes and sell the singer’s belongings. TMZ reported that he allegedly told the workers Kelly was relocating to Chicago, so everything had to go. Kelly’s team reportedly said Alfonso was only a part time employee who did not have authority to make those decisions.
TMZ reported that Alfonso was scheduled to surrender the week before but did not show, and a warrant was issued. He was booked on two counts of burglary, two counts of theft by taking and two counts of theft by deception. These are accusations, and he has not been convicted of anything.
