A Russian man has definitely taken the petty crown after filing a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend for the money he spent on her.
Nikolai Zyablikov is suing his ex for “illegal enrichment” after he says she manipulated his feelings. According Zyablikov, after a four-year relationship between the two, his girlfriend asked him to cover the expenses for a “friendly trip” to Siberia for them. The 38 year-old claims that he was broken up with shortly after. Now he wants all $680 (yes he counted) of his coins back.
However the man’s ex, Nina Zgurskayaor, has a very different recollection of the situation. Zgurskayaor says she’s ended the relationship because she expected to be proposed to while on the trip. When an engagement never happened, Zgurskayaor says she decided to break things off.
The suit was thrown out of a Siberian court, and Zyablikov hasn’t decided whether he will still peruse the case elsewhere. What Zyablikov does know is that he doesn’t plan on actually collecting the money from his ex if he were to win. “I wasn’t going to take her money,” Zyablikov said.
