A wanted poster from an Illinois police department took an unexpected turn online this month, because the man pictured looks a lot like Walter White from the hit AMC series Breaking Bad.
The Galesburg Police Department posted the mugshot on Facebook on September 3 alongside five other people wanted on warrants. According to Fox News, Todd, 50, is wanted for an alleged probation violation connected to a methamphetamine possession case. Police told local station KWQC that the violation involved meth possession, and it was not clear whether he had been taken into custody.
The photo quickly spread as social media users compared him to the character, played by Bryan Cranston. One commenter joked, “Well, I guess we have a spoiler for the Breaking Bad movie.”
The buzz comes as the show returns to the spotlight ahead of its new movie, El Camino. Police say their goal was simply to find the people on the list, and this one just happened to catch the internet’s eye.
