Love & Hip Hop star Mendeecees Harris appeared to be out of jail on bail, based on his Instagram page. Meanwhile, a man named in the same federal drug case has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The Democrat and Chronicle reported that Ronald Walker, a New York City man, was sentenced in federal court in December after pleading guilty in August to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin between New York City and Rochester. According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s office cited in that report, Walker was part of the conspiracy from 2005 to August 2012 and was ordered to forfeit assets totaling $2.5 million, including cash, a vehicle, jewelry and two properties.
The same report said Mendeecees Harris and his brother Tyrus Harris are also accused of involvement in the conspiracy and were still awaiting trial. Neither man had been convicted at the time. We have not seen a statement from Mendeecees about the case, and details of his bail had not been confirmed.
Fans of the show had been following his bail hearing storyline, and his Instagram post suggested he was home for now. We will keep you posted as the case moves forward.
