Earlier this month, #GloriaGovan filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband #MattBarnes for ruining her reputation over his claims that she stole money from him and forged his signature for homes and businesses for her family. In turn, Barnes countersued and accused Govan, her brother Lonnie, her mom and her dad of committing fraud.
In court documents obtained by The @Blast, the former baller claims Govan organized a plan with her family to embezzle more than $300,000 of his money to buy a home in Oakland, California. Barnes says Gloria used her brother as a “straw man” to purchase the home by forging Barnes’ signature as the co-buyer. In fact, Barnes says the family “masqueraded as Matt Barnes in order to advance their scheme of purchasing the property.”

According to The Blast, Barnes says that once the home was purchased, the title was transferred to Gloria and a “shell company” created to cover her tracks, and his name was removed. He says more than $300,000 was taken and transferred to a private account set up by his baby mama. As a result, he is suing for unspecified damages and for a court to confirm that he is the owner of the home.
