Nasty Mistake! Mattel Accidentally Prints Adult Website on "Wicked" Doll Boxes

In a bizarre blunder, Mattel, the toy company behind Barbie, has accidentally listed an adult film website on the packaging of its new “Wicked” movie dolls, sending shockwaves across social media.

Consumers quickly pointed out the shocking misprint, sharing photos of their purchases, which show the URL leading to an adult site rather than the official movie website.

“LMAO Universal Pictures put the wrong website for @wickedmovie on the back of their dolls for kids. It leads to a p0rn website,” one Twitter user exclaimed, sharing images of the singing dolls inspired by Elphaba and Glinda (played by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande).

Mattel responded with a statement to People, expressing regret for the “unfortunate error.”

“We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.” They also issued warnings, advising them to discard or obscure the link, emphasizing that the misprinted website was not inappropriate for children.

The dolls, inspired by the upcoming “Wicked” movie musical, were supposed to direct fans to the official WickedMovie.com landing page.  Instead, it went to a URL with the same name as the film. The mix-up has left many questioning how such a shocking mistake could occur, with some now reconsidering the toy company’s brand reliability.
