Meek Mill seemingly had some trouble with his electric car, which seemed to have malfunctioned and caused a nasty wreck.
The “Championship” rapper shared footage of the wrecked vehicle on social media, which he says he only had for a short amount of time. Meek said the truck had many red flags, including a lack of safety features. He claims that one of the brake pedals even came off while the car was sitting in park. It then began to pull off by itself while he was sitting inside. The Philadelphia rapper says the impact knocked him out, all within just one day of owning one of these popular vehicles. Now, Meek is questioning the stability of the electric car industry following his incident in addition to Tesla recalling every Cybertruck it’s delivered to customers due to a faulty accelerator pedal.
“Wassup with these cyber trucks because I had another brand electric car “not Tesla “do the same thing I crashed and got hurt bad…. The air bags didn’t even come out in a totaled car! Tesla has always been safe for me I tried some new shit and it almost killed me the first day!” he wrote on Twitter.
Thankfully, Meek appears to be okay after the incident, though clearly shaken. His incident comes after several reported crashes due to malfunctioning electric vehicles. Earlier this month, the driver of an EV in California caused a hazardous issue when the wreck sent burning batteries flying across the roadway. Tesla also recently moved to settle a lawsuit surrounding one of its cars causing a fatal wreck while in autopilot.
