Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawyers Slam “Fabricated” and “Outlandish” Claims from Ex-Cameraman

Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team is strongly rejecting claims made by her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia, alleging mistreatment and underpayment.

In new court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, Megan’s lawyers, Mari Henderson and Alex Spiro, assert that Garcia’s allegations of sexual harassment and labor code violations are “fabricated” and “outlandish.” Garcia, who worked for Megan from 2018 to 2023, claims she didn’t pay his overtime, made derogatory remarks about him, and engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior while he was present.

Henderson and Spiro describe Garcia as “a con artist manipulating the judicial system to boost his failed singing career while trying to damage Megan’s successful career.” They accuse Garcia of repeatedly falsifying invoices and overcharging Megan for incomplete services and seeking reimbursements for non-existent expenses.

Garcia was reportedly terminated in June 2023 due to his alleged misrepresentations. Megan’s lawyers argue that Garcia’s lawsuit is a baseless attempt to create a media scandal to harm Megan’s reputation.

Garcia filed his lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming he was fired in retaliation for complaining about wage issues. He alleges he was dismissed the night before a scheduled job after expressing his dissatisfaction to Megan’s makeup artist.

One of Garcia’s specific allegations includes an incident in Ibiza, Spain, in June 2022, where he claims Megan engaged in sexual activity with another woman in a moving vehicle while he was present. He describes feeling “embarrassed, mortified, and offended.”

Garcia’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, argues that Megan is trying to shift blame and discredit Garcia. Zambrano maintains that Megan never mentioned issues with Garcia’s invoices until after he filed the lawsuit and asserts that Megan broke the law.

Additionally, Megan’s lawyers are seeking to transfer the case to federal court, noting that Garcia is a Texas citizen, Megan is a Florida citizen, and Roc Nation was improperly named in the lawsuit. They also state that Garcia’s contract specified New York as the forum for disputes.
