Mel B’s ex-husband says he wants more dough, a lot more dough, and he wants it from the Spice Girl herself after she reportedly took home loads of cash from this year’s Spice Girl reunion tour.
According to TMZ, Stephen Belafonte filed new legal documents asking a judge to increase Mel’s monthly child support payment, which is currently $5,000 a month.
Belafonte says Mel alone, by her own admission in court records, pocketed around $2.4 million from the tour.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Belafonte claims Mel tried to avoid including that money as part of her regular income. He says; instead, she reported it as a one-time sum of money.
Stephen is not having it; he says the income increase should translate to a child support boost to $17,394 per month. Oh but wait, there’s more, as he is also demanding she cover his attorney’s fee.
Mel B and Stephen settled their divorce last August, with agreed-upon child support payments. According to court documents previously obtained by TMZ, Belafonte was receiving $5,000 a month in child support, which was in addition to the $15,000 a month he already got in spousal support.
They’re headed back to court next month to settle the matter.
