'Meth-Contaminated' Condo Lists For $252k In Denver

Zillow

If you’re not afraid of a little fixer-upper, a Colorado condo recently listed on Zillow might be for you. Its most pressing issue? Methamphetamine contamination.

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo is listed for $252,000. In order for it to be habitable, the purchaser will need to bring in a licensed and certified industrial hygienist verified by the Denver Public Health and Environment to bring the property back into compliance.

“Due to methamphetamine contamination, it has been tagged by the City & County of Denver. There is an ORDER TO VACATE/ACCESS RESTRICTED/NO TRESSPASSING NOTICE placed on the front door by Denver Public Health & Environment,” states the listing.

In addition to remedying the meth contamination, the buyer of the 567-square-foot unit will need to gut the kitchen and replace all the appliances. Broken windows will need to be replaced. And there is a $32,000 lien against the property by the homer owners’ association that will have to be paid.

After the living room and bathroom are cleaned, they must be retested. And the buyer will be responsible for any other costs associated with bringing the property back into compliance as required by the City and County of Denver.

The home last sold in 2015 for $160,000.

The listing has since been removed from Zillow.
