Miami Gardens, Florida/USA - January 20, 2020: Hard Rock Stadium a couple of weeks before Super Bowl LIV. Super Bowl LIV Construction time.

Well, that didn’t last long. Miami-Dade is back under its 12 am to 6 am curfew after an appellate court reinstated a stay of injunction order filed on Friday.

Miami Mayor Carlos Gimenez confirmed the ruling on Monday, which comes after the strip club Tootsie’s Cabaret’s challenge against the local emergency order, WSVN News reports.

On October 16, Judge Beatrice Butchko temporarily halted the county’s curfew that had been in place since March 12. Tootsie’s argued that the local curfew went against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ order which barred local COVID-19 restrictions in the state, an argument the judge agreed with by saying it was “illegal” because employees were unable to work.

The legally enforced curfew went back into effect on Tuesday, it is unknown how long it will be mandated but lawmakers and health officials will meet later this week to discuss it.

Well if you didn’t party this past weekend, it’s unsure when you will be able to in Miami.

Stay Safe!
