Social media is full of people who snap a quick photo with a celebrity and caption it like they spent the whole night together. Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers was not about to let one of those slide.
A fan posted a picture with Chalmers on Instagram and captioned it as if the two had been popping bottles on a rooftop together. Chalmers saw it and set the record straight, replying on Twitter with, “Ummm false. Yall just asked for a pic.”
Moral of the story: a photo with an NBA champ is cool, but the caption should match what actually happened. Chalmers kept it short, kept it funny, and the fan got a public reality check.
