Police were called to Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner’s home after a fight broke out between his new girlfriend and the mother of his children.
According to TMZ, officers found the mother of Turner’s children bleeding from her head. She told police she went to the house to talk about the two children she says Turner doesn’t see, and about a third baby she is currently pregnant with. She says that when she knocked on the door, Turner’s girlfriend came out swinging a golf club.
The girlfriend tells a different story. She told police she only picked up the golf club because the other woman came into the house through an unlocked back door.
Neither woman pressed charges, though police gave Turner’s children’s mother a criminal trespass warning.
Turner has not commented. This is the kind of drama nobody wins, especially the kids. Whatever is going on between the adults, it needs to be handled in court, not on a doorstep with a golf club.
