Mike Epps’ 18 year old daughter, Bria, has filed a police report saying her famous father threatened her, and she has the phone call on tape.
According to TMZ, Bria filed the report with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. She says it started after Mike appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and gave a shout out to two of his kids, which didn’t sit well with his other children. Bria, whom Mike fathered before his marriage, says she called him to tell him how she felt, and when things got heated, she threatened to air some family drama publicly.
That’s when she says Mike flipped. In audio of the call that Bria recorded, Mike can be heard calling her a “disrespectful [expletive]” and accusing her of trying to sabotage him. According to the police report, he threatened to hurt her and to cause problems for her, her mother and her grandmother.
Mike’s side tells a different story. Sources close to him told TMZ the tension started before the Wendy Williams appearance, when Bria asked him for lump sums of cash for her college tuition. They say Mike refused and insisted on paying the school directly, and that’s when she threatened to go public. Mike’s camp says her allegations are false.
Bria has said before that the two don’t have a great relationship but that she still loves him and is proud of him. Whatever started this, it’s hard to listen to a father talk to his daughter that way. Hopefully the two can find their way back to each other.
