Federal authorities have charged a Missouri woman for her role in storming the U.S. Capitol after she was caught in photos posing with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s nameplate during the riot.
According to the NY Post, multiple tipsters identified Emily Hernandez, from Sullivan, Missouri, to the FBI and confirmed that she was the woman seen in videos and photos holding Pelosi’s wooden sign during the riot inside the Capitol on January 6th.
The complaint alleges that one concerned tipster sent the FBI a photo from Hernandez’s Facebook page, which apparently proved she was inside the Capitol. Another tipster shared a screenshot from her Snapchat account that appeared to show her under the Capitol dome.
Hernandez hasn’t been arrested yet, but she will face charges of unlawful entry, engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct, and stealing federal property, once she is taken into custody, the FBI said.
