The woman at the center of the viral SoHo hotel video, identified as Miya, was reportedly arrested last February after a dispute at a Beverly Hills hotel, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports that Miya and her mother, Nicole, were at the Peninsula Hotel when staff asked them to leave. Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ says the women refused, and someone at the hotel called police, saying the women appeared to be drunk. TMZ reports that when Beverly Hills officers arrived, Miya’s mother allegedly kicked and pushed an officer, and both women were arrested.
According to TMZ, Miya’s mother was arrested on a charge of battery on a police officer, and both women were charged with being drunk in public. TMZ reports they have a hearing in that case later this month.
TMZ also reports that the Los Angeles County District Attorney charged both women on May 27, 2020, and that Miya was arrested the next day on a drunk driving charge. According to TMZ, she pleaded no contest in that case and was sentenced to three years of probation and 30 hours of community service, along with a nine month alcohol and drug counseling program.
The charges in the hotel case are allegations. TMZ’s report did not include a response from either woman.
