Brittany, the Florida woman arrested last week after she reportedly left her two young children in a car while she attended a Lil Wayne and T.I. concert, has been released from jail and is back on social media.
According to WKMG and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Brittany was arrested on two counts of child neglect after the children, ages 3 and 5, were reportedly left in a car in the parking lot of the Cruzan Amphitheater for several hours. Authorities said an employee brought the children to a deputy, and they were not harmed. The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified. Authorities said she told deputies she left the children in the car while she went to the show. These are charges, and the case had not been resolved at the time of this report.
About a week after the incident, Brittany reportedly returned to school and to her Facebook and Instagram pages, where she responded to the criticism she received online. Supporters and critics both weighed in. It was not clear whether custody of the children had changed.
The story set off a big conversation about parenting and responsibility. Baller Alert will update this story if more is reported.
