Mountain Dew Releases New Black Soda Exclusively At Buffalo Wild Wings

Mountain Dew

Mountain Dew is partnering up with Buffalo Wild Wings to drop an exclusive new flavor — Mountain Dew Legend — and you can only find it at the sports bar chain.

Legend marks the first time PepsiCo brand has worked exclusively with a sports bar chain. The new offering is available in select locations already and will be rolled out nationally by mid-May.

Mountain Dew Legend is pitch black in color, and the taste is described as that of “original Mtn Dew with notes of blackberry, citrus, and ginger.” According to the brand, the taste is inspired by the blackberry flavor craze. The soda was designed to elevate BWW sauces, burgers, and bar food.

“Buffalo Wild Wings and Mtn Dew both know a thing or two about passionate fan bases and how to take celebrations to the next level with great-tasting food and beverages,” said chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Global Foodservice, Scott Finlow, in a statement. “Together, our goal is to elevate the sports viewing and dining experience.”

Mountain Dew is no stranger to exotic flavorings or working with chains. Baja Blast was made popular at Taco Bell. The company also launched Sweet Lightning in collaboration with KFC. And don’t forget the bold Flamin’ Hot, a crossover between Frito Lay and PepsiCo.
