TMZ reported on September 10, 2014 that music executive Clive Davis has been named in a South Carolina divorce case. According to court filings obtained by TMZ, a businessman named Tig alleges his wife Rosanna had an affair with Davis. Rosanna, a vice president at Robb Report magazine, is seeking spousal support in the divorce. Under South Carolina law, a spouse found to have committed adultery generally cannot receive alimony, which is why the claim matters to the case.
Tig’s filings reportedly list several alleged encounters over the summer of 2014. In April, Rosanna allegedly visited Davis’s vacation home in Palm Springs, where the two were said to have traveled by limo and attended galas. In May, she allegedly attended a VIP red carpet event at the Museum of Modern Art in New York with Davis as her escort. In June, Davis allegedly invited her to a black tie Songwriters Hall of Fame event. According to the filings, the two also spent about two weeks together in June and July on a yacht off the French and Italian Riviera.
Tig has also subpoenaed Davis’s records as part of the case, according to TMZ. Davis has reportedly refused to comply, and Tig is asking the court to hold him in contempt. TMZ also noted that Rosanna has said in an interview that Davis walked her down the aisle at her 2008 wedding.
It is important to remember that these are allegations made by one side in a divorce case, and none of them have been proven. TMZ said it reached out to Davis, who had not responded at the time of publication. Rosanna had not publicly responded to the filing in the report either.
