Sade Bagnerise, Ne-Yo‘s former girlfriend, found herself in legal trouble when she was arrested for attempting to assist her son in a physical altercation with one of his classmates.

As indicated in official arrest records obtained by HipHop DX, Bagnerise, who happens to be the mother of two of the singer’s children, was taken into custody in March 2023. The charges brought against her include one count of third-degree cruelty to children, one count of first-degree cruelty to children, and one count of battery.

She was released on a surety bond for each of the charges. The third-degree cruelty to children charge had a $1,000 surety bond, while the battery charge had a $5,000 surety bond. Remarkably, the first-degree cruelty to children charge came with a substantial $25,000 surety bond.

Aside from the charges, a temporary restraining order was issued against Bagnerise at the request of the victim’s mother, Veronica Madison. It’s important to note that the child involved in the altercation was not one of the children Bagnerise shares with Ne-Yo.

Madison stated that Bagnerise and her son concealed themselves in the bushes, lying in wait for Madison’s son to exit the school bus. As soon as he did, Bagnerise and her son allegedly assaulted him, and the incident was recorded by onlookers who promptly informed Madison of the assault.

Additionally, Madison claims that Bagnerise’s son has allegedly been sending her son death threats via social media ever since the attack, even making firearm-related threats against him.
