A newly surfaced 911 call shows that Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy phoned police about his ex, fashion designer Delicia Cordon, a year before the home invasion that left her hurt in a Georgia home he owns.
Last week, Cordon told police that masked intruders attacked and robbed her at the home. In a separate 911 call from that night, she said she thought it had something to do with her ex. McCoy has denied any involvement, and no criminal charges have been filed.
According to The Blast, which obtained the 2017 call, McCoy told a dispatcher that a woman would not leave his home and was trying to take items from the property. The outlet reports he said they had dated for a few months and that he had ended things about two weeks earlier. He said she was trying to pick a fight.
“I’m an NFL player, I play for the Buffalo Bills, I don’t want no drama,” McCoy said, according to The Blast.
The outlet also reports McCoy said Cordon was no longer at the house and that he planned to put her belongings outside. He described the situation as a verbal confrontation and said it had not turned physical.
The call does not connect McCoy to last week’s attack, and investigators have not publicly said he is a suspect. Cordon’s attorney told CBS News days after the incident that Cordon was no longer certain McCoy was involved, though Cordon later disputed that. We will update you as the story develops.
