While in Los Angeles, Baller Alert podcast host @eleven8 and special guest co-host @drineee sat down with rapper Lola Monroe (@iam_queenroe) to catch up on everything she has going on. The discussion instantly became deep as we discussed Lola’s transition from highly sought after video vixen to a stone cold lyricist practicing veganism and fully embracing her East African roots.
Lola Monroe breaks down what lead her to be more in tune with her roots, how the media tried to manufacture a beef between her and Nicki Minaj, how being on her own since the age of 15 shaped her, motherhood, raising a vegan son and her choice to now go by her given name, Fershgenet (which means “fruit of heaven”).
