Keonna, the mother of Nick Young’s 4 year old son, is speaking out. In an interview with Us Weekly, she said she does not feel guilty about becoming pregnant by Nick a second time, and that she is “not going to apologize for being in love.”
Baller Alert has covered Nick’s relationships for several years. Keonna and Nick have known each other since high school, and they share a son. Nick was previously engaged to Olympic sprinter Carol, and later became engaged to Iggy Azalea.
Keonna told Us Weekly that when Nick and Iggy became a couple, she called Iggy before Iggy moved into the home Keonna once lived in. She said she asked that photos of her son not be posted out of respect, and that Iggy replied, “I completely get it.” Keonna said that reality set in that she and Nick were over, and that she cried on the way home.
Keonna is now reportedly 22 weeks pregnant with Nick’s second child. By her account, she and Nick reconnected in September 2015, about three months after his engagement to Iggy. “I can count how many people I’ve been with on one hand,” she told the magazine. “And Nick was the person I thought was it for me.”
She said she conceived around that September and that she told Nick he needed to be honest with Iggy, but that he did not want to hear it. She also said she considered telling Iggy herself and tried to reach out, but never heard back. Keonna told Us Weekly she does not believe she is the reason Nick and Iggy split, saying, “She found out what everyone else found out, according to what I’ve been told.”
According to Keonna, she and Nick are not intimate now, but she said she would take him back if he wanted that.
