Nicki Minaj isn’t letting up on JAY-Z anytime soon.
After calling him out for not picking Lil Wayne to headline the Super Bowl halftime show, she’s now coming for his former streaming service, Tidal.
DJ Akademiks recently spoke about JAY-Z and Drake’s fallout, and Minaj decided to chime in, claiming she never got paid for her involvement with Tidal.
As you might remember, Minaj was one of the stars on stage during Tidal’s 2015 launch, alongside JAY-Z, Beyoncé, and others.
But now, she’s saying she didn’t receive a dime from the platform. “I didn’t even get one red penny,” she wrote, adding that no one pushed the service more than her, aside from Beyoncé. “Lol chi.”
This claim contradicts reports that JAY-Z paid the artist co-owners $8.9 million each when he sold Tidal for $300 million in 2021.
According to those reports, Minaj should’ve seen a payout for her 3% stake in the company.
While she’s stayed quiet about any Tidal beef in the past, it looks like she’s got a lot more to say about JAY-Z.
