Nicki Minaj appears to be slamming Roc Nation and Jay-Z for excluding Lil Wayne from the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
In a series of tweets, Minaj seems to suggest that Wayne is being wronged for not being asked to perform in New Orleans during the big game next year. While she doesn’t mention Hov by name, the timing and subject matter are clearly referencing the topic, which has become the focal point of fierce online debate. Minaj starts by sharing how she loves “watching the whole industry play dumb time after time” before going into a full-fledged attack on Roc Nation.
One very telling tweet read, “One n***a took a knee. The other n***a took the bag. He gon get you “n****rs” in line every fkng time.” This appears to be in reference to Colin Kaepernick famously kneeling during the national anthem, which caused him to be blackballed from the NFL, while Jay and Roc Nation partnered with the organization shortly after.
Another apparent shot at the “Dead Presidents” rapper was Minaj calling out the mogul for being “evil,” alluding to Wayne’s purposeful exclusion from the Super Bowl show in his hometown.
“Still spiteful & evil. Disgusting. Be happy Abeg. Go be fkng happy n!gg@!!!!!!!! In rap business. In women business. When you got the Politicians & the police you good tho. Plus dat ugly laughy taffy alien,” she wrote.
In another heartfelt message, Minaj claimed Wayne was being denied a chance to perform due to “ego” and alleged “hatred” toward her, Drake and Birdman, which led to Wayne being punished.
No one at Roc Nation has responded, but Minaj sure had much to get off of her chest, which seemed to have been building up for quite some time.
