Pooh Shiesty is facing a troubling new allegation in his federal case after prosecutors claimed the Memphis rapper recently admitted to ingesting fentanyl.
The revelation surfaced in court filings connected to the rapper’s ongoing battle over his detention conditions at Rolling Plains Regional Jail in Haskell, Texas. Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., has been fighting restrictions that reportedly keep him inside his cell for approximately 23 hours each day.
According to an excerpt from the government’s response, prosecutors cited what they described as “Williams’s admission” that he recently ingested fentanyl. The allegation was included among several concerns raised by authorities while arguing that his restrictive housing arrangements are justified.
The filing also references information provided by the United States Marshals Service, which reportedly informed prosecutors that the jail administrator had concerns about Williams’s safety.
Specifically, prosecutors claim three inmates attempted to gain access to his location, “purportedly to get his autograph.”
Authorities additionally accused Shiesty of improperly influencing individuals responsible for monitoring his federal release at a halfway house before his latest arrest.
However, the available excerpt does not establish exactly when Shiesty allegedly ingested fentanyl, whether the alleged incident happened inside a correctional facility, or whether any drug testing confirmed its presence. The specific circumstances surrounding the reported admission remain unclear.
The allegation comes as Shiesty’s attorneys are demanding changes to his confinement.
On October 15, his legal team filed an emergency motion requesting that the court intervene over his housing conditions and limited family visitation.
According to the defense, Shiesty has been confined to his cell for nearly the entire day despite having no documented disciplinary infractions at the facility. His lawyers argue that officials have failed to provide a specific explanation for the restrictions beyond claiming they are necessary for his protection.
His attorneys also allege that his monthly in-person visitation allowance was reduced from four hours to two.
The restrictions have reportedly affected his emotional well-being, with his legal team describing increased anxiety and difficulty sleeping.
His aunt previously expressed similar concerns in a declaration submitted to the court.
“I have seen Lontrell decline mentally and emotionally since he was moved to the jail in Haskell,” she stated.
Federal prosecutors, however, are opposing the request to modify his confinement conditions.
In addition to their safety concerns, the government argues that Shiesty has access to communication and entertainment through a jail-issued tablet. Prosecutors reportedly cited records showing 231 video calls totaling more than 45 hours, along with access to email, games, and streaming services.
The dispute is unfolding while Shiesty awaits trial in a separate federal kidnapping and robbery case involving Gucci Mane.
Federal authorities arrested Shiesty in April 2026 after alleging that he and eight other men orchestrated an armed confrontation at a Dallas recording studio on January 10.
According to the original FBI criminal complaint, Shiesty arranged a meeting to discuss his contract with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. Prosecutors allege the meeting escalated when Shiesty produced an AK-style pistol and forced the record executive to agree to release him from his recording contract.
The group is also accused of stealing jewelry, watches, cash, and other valuables from the individuals present.
Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., and fellow Memphis rapper Big30 are among the defendants charged in connection with the incident.
Shiesty has pleaded not guilty and has repeatedly been denied bond. His trial is currently scheduled to begin February 22, 2027.
